I thought there used to be a way to create "automations" almost like sequences to run tables automatically in Clay, but I'm no longer seeing that option. Is it still available?
Yes, Clay offers automatic table running through the auto-update feature. When enabled, auto-update automatically enriches new rows as they're added to your table. You have two main options for automation:1. Auto-update: This runs automatically for new rows added to your table. 2. Conditional runs: You can set specific conditions that trigger enrichments only when certain criteria are met. This gives you more control over when and how your automations run.Note: While auto-update is convenient for fully automated workflows, you may want to turn it off while building your table to avoid unnecessary credit usage. You can easily toggle it back on when you're ready to launch. Sources: Guide: Ways to Save Clay Credits - Clay University Write to Table - Clay University RocketReach - Clay University
Looks like you're still looking for help. We're escalating this over to our support team and someone should be in touch soon. In the meantime, feel free to include any other information that may be helpful in solving your issue!
This was not what I was referring to. Was looking more for like a recipe automation builder.
Hey Doug! The auto-update feature only runs once when new records are added - we won't re-enrich John's info if he changes jobs later, so no surprise credit usage. Each row runs independently in Clay, so older records stay as-is until you manually trigger an update. Pretty handy for keeping your credits in check! ๐
So "Turn on this table" should be "Turn table on" and "Update Cells" should be "continue without running"
Exactly The update cell is when you'd do all of your work in auto-update OFF and then want to update all the rows at once ๐
ok thanks
