Hi , What options can be used to get tech stack? i wanted to know the list of companies who uses our competitors. Any help is much appreciated
To find companies using your competitors' tech stack, use HG Insights in Clay:
Find Companies by Tech Stack:
Click Add Column → Add Enrichment → select "Companies by tech stack with HG Insights"
Define technologies using vendor domains (e.g., salesforce.com), product categories, or specific product names
Start with 10-50 companies or enable Sandbox mode to test [1]
Get Tech Stack for Existing Companies:
Use the "Get company tech stack" enrichment to verify if specific companies use particular products (e.g., Salesforce, Netsuite). [2]
We also have a competitor displacement template that automates finding competitor users and personalizing outreach. [3]

is there a way to use builtwith and fetch software here?
Yes, you can use BuiltWith in Clay to fetch a company's tech stack. [1]
To use BuiltWith:
Click Add Column → Add Enrichment → select "Find Technology Stack with BuiltWith"
Enter the Company Domain you want to analyze
Optionally filter by Keyword or Category to find specific technologies (e.g., your competitors' software) [2]
This enrichment costs 2 credits per cell when using our Clay-managed BuiltWith account. [3] You can also connect your own BuiltWith API key if you're on a paid plan.
The output includes the technologies found, number of total technologies, and detailed matches.

What competitor of urs are you interested in ? If its something thats frontend based, Builtwith probably does the job well. If its backend focused, then bloomberry.com is a good alternative. HG Insights too although I hear thats fairly expensive
You can use both BuiltWith and HG Insights within Clay to fetch tech stack data:
BuiltWith (ideal for frontend technologies):
Add Column → Add Enrichment → "Find Technology Stack with BuiltWith"
Enter the company domain and optionally filter by keyword/category
Costs 2 credits per cell with our Clay-managed account [1]
HG Insights (excellent for backend and enterprise tools):
Use "Get company tech stack" enrichment to check if companies use specific products
Or use "Companies by tech stack" source to find companies using particular technologies
Costs 8 credits per technology returned [2]
HG Insights excels at uncovering backend technologies from contracts, RFPs, and job postings that aren't visible on websites, while BuiltWith analyzes website source code for frontend technologies. [3]
Clay doesn't currently integrate with Bloomberry, so you'd need to use BuiltWith for frontend analysis and HG Insights for comprehensive backend tech stack detection.
Which specific competitor technologies are you looking to identify - frontend tools or backend/enterprise software?
If you still need help with identifying competitor technologies or using our integrations, I’m here to assist. Would you like to share more about the specific competitor technologies or use cases you want to explore?
Hey Clay S. I’m not seeing HG Insights in Clay:Find Companies by Tech Stack on my end - only Companies by product usage with HG Insights
That enrichment doesn’t seem to be available anymore, or not to me - does it require a paid plan? Here are the enrichments from HG Insights that I see:
Companies by product usage with HG Insights
Verify technology usage
