hey team, what's the best way to identify companies with specific roles but also without specific roles?
To identify companies with specific roles while excluding others, you can follow these steps: 1. Use the Find People feature with these filters: • Add all variations of the job titles you want to find in the "Job Title Keywords" field (e.g., "Revenue Operations, RevOps, Rev Operations") • Use the "Job Title Exclude Keywords" field to filter out unwanted roles 2. For more precise results: • Include every variation of the job titles you're looking for, since the search doesn't support semantic matching (meaning "Revenue Operations" and "RevOps" are treated as different titles) • Use the exclusion filters strategically - for example, if you include "Sales" but exclude "Ops" and "Operations," you'll mainly get customer-facing sellersYou can also start with company descriptions and use the "Start From" feature to find companies that match certain keywords or phrases related to your target roles. Not exactly, a bit more complicated than that. For example, i want to identify companies that have SDRs but don’t have a sales operations person
You can identify such companies using Clay's Find People feature with a combination of inclusion and exclusion filters: 1. First, search for SDRs by including these variations in the "Job Title Keywords" field: • "SDR" • "Sales Development Representative" • "Business Development Representative" • "BDR" 2. Then use the "Job Title Exclude Keywords" field to filter out sales operations roles: • "Sales Operations" • "Sales Ops" • "SalesOps" • "Revenue Operations" • "RevOps" • "Rev Operations"Remember that Find People doesn't support semantic search, so you'll need to include all possible variations of the job titles you're targeting or excluding. This approach will help you find companies that have SDRs but haven't yet expanded to include specialized sales operations roles in their team structure. Looks like you're still looking for help. If you’re dealing with a specific table, drop the URL below so we can help you quicker. Otherwise, someone from our team will be in touch soon!
Hey there, thanks for reaching out! would recommend using our Find Contacts at Company Based on Criteria enrichment to perform a search for the role you're looking for. I.e. if you're trying to assess sales headcount you will be able to see if/and how many sales reps a company has. In your example, you could perform one search precisely looking for SDRs and another searching for Ops headcount. Hope this clears things up! Let me know how I can best assist here. :)
Thanks Owen! I’m guess the next step is to match and deduct from there? Are there more cost-efficient way to get this done?
Hey! Yes, you can do this for free by using Find People Search first, then lookup those results in your company table to spot missing roles. This avoids using any credits. You can also use Claygent to do some extra verifications on the rows it didn't find any results. Let me know if that helps.
