I see that there is an AI section and a Claygent section as shown in the screenshot, but how can i use models from the AI section to reduce my credits cost?

To reduce your credit costs when using AI models in Clay, you have a couple of options: 1. Connect your own API keys: By default, we use a Clay-managed account for AI features. However, you can potentially reduce costs by using your own API keys for GPT, Claude, or Gemini models. 2. Use AI formulas: These are credit-free ways to generate custom code in your table for formatting, cleaning, and reshaping data. This can save hundreds or thousands of credits compared to using the AI integration for large tables. 3. Set custom budgets: You can control spending by setting custom budgets for each AI run. 4. Choose models wisely: Different AI models have varying credit costs. For example, Argon, Neon, and Helium models cost 3 credits per row and are only available via Clay credits. Remember, if you need more credits, you can buy extra credit top-ups at 50% more than your plan's typical cost per credit.

please help team, i dont think it needs API keys if it is charging credits, does not make sense

Hey Manav, thanks for reaching out. If you’d like to use OpenAI or Anthropic models (as in the web research case) with your own API keys, you’ll need to update the model configuration like this:
