Trying to use the "Write each item to a new row in other table" but suddenly it's not sending over the selected fields, only data from the array. How to solve this? https://www.loom.com/share/4ae403ae7d144a31a418533317223c7a
When configuring "write to table" for list mapping, ensure you complete both mapping steps: Step 4: Map list data - Select the list properties to map into your new table columns. Step 4: Select additional data points - Define any additional columns (including non-lists) from the current table that you also want to send to the new table. If it's still not working correctly, try this troubleshooting approach: 1. Delete the affected column 2. Create a fresh column 3. Re-map your data to the write to table action Make sure you're mapping both the array data AND the additional fields you want to transfer from your source table.
Hi Justin - thanks so much for reaching out and for your patience here! Taking a look at this and will get back to you as soon as I have a solution. Best, Aditi
Just took a look at your loom and wanted to note something here to help you when you have workflows like this in the future. There are two options when sending table data 1) Send rows vs 2) Send row for each item in list. When you use option 1, the items automatically will populate in the secondary table. But when you use option 2, the arrays are actually getting sent across, but you need to click into the cell and manually add in the columns. This is because when using "Send row for each item in list," you need to manually map which properties from the list become columns because each list item can contain many fields (often 35+) and Clay needs you to specify which ones you want as columns in the destination table.
I recorded a short loom here in case you'd like to visually see the difference: https://www.loom.com/share/c70a766c47db4c84bead49342cbcdcd7?sid=bf07955b-d7db-459c-9285-178281b0aa4d If that doesn't make sense or if you're not seeing this in your table, please send across your table link, and I can take a closer look for you. Hope this helps! Best, Aditi
