Hey guys, I have data from a lookalike I created in one table but I need to add it to a table that I have already built. Is there a way to export this information or transfer this data from one table in Clay to another?
๐ Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch within 24 hours (often sooner!). If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Hi Jesse, thanks for reaching out. Taking a look at this now.
You should be able to write data from one table to another using our write to other table enrichment column. Here's some context on how you can use this integration! 1. Make sure your Clay API key is linked correctly. 2. Find and set up the write to table enrichment column by clicking on Add Column > Add Enrichment > Search and select "write to table" https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1198904361/3f67448e206777df45b95b0c/CleanShot-2B2024-09-04-2Bat-2B22_37_07.gif?expires=1728404100&signature=789aa07fdf9b683708fd774f78c6a8dd20611c9ac1dc79caf321617e934f59f2&req=dSEuHsB%2BmYJZWPMW1HO4zUOGxdRAdD7d3XP6pls40EVTBQ%3D%3D%0A 3. You can now choose to parse your arrays into an existing table or create a new blank table for them, by clicking on "new table": https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1198904362/2d0802e8f2b400ae2661cfc6/CleanShot-2B2024-09-04-2Bat-2B22_45_05.gif?expires=1728404100&signature=f3041a4932534865e41f99e4310e02930079565ef5c5a7a52c22162de54d8dc3&req=dSEuHsB%2BmYJZW%2FMW1HO4zeoz800%2BwLuJqPOJ9fQhK2l%2B7Q%3D%3D%0A 4. We can now neatly write our array of objects into individual rows by inserting a column in the 'Select a List from a Column' field. Type a forward slash, choose the column containing the arrays, open its properties, and click "insert all items". https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1198904363/5b8ff331300c2f7d8c10a39f/CleanShot-2B2024-09-04-2Bat-2B22_53_01.gif?expires=1728404100&signature=94327611d316dd02745e1d3bc826cb2d96fe644d3122aee65c2955a4fc1d150d&req=dSEuHsB%2BmYJZWvMW1HO4zT205jiEx1UeR2g4Gfhv9uVW4Q%3D%3D%0A 5. Now the last thing we'll have to do is specify which objects from the array we want to write to the new table, and to which columns we want to map them. We'll be able to select columns which are existing or create new ad-hoc columns for this purpose: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1198904365/cd63b467ff32f8730cae429a/CleanShot-2B2024-09-04-2Bat-2B22_55_01.gif?expires=1728404100&signature=bbcc2fbd6cb0972165f4908d507983f462f1e79544d2aa4d685723e0b6180dd0&req=dSEuHsB%2BmYJZXPMW1HO4zRXCYOgmpfL%2Fgs3r2grz9eNgrw%3D%3D%0A 6. You can also add other column values to the table, which is useful when transferring lead data from one table to another using the 'Write to Table' column. This setup can work independently, without the list feature configured in step 4. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1198904364/78c2e80597d41d589143e455/CleanShot-2B2024-09-04-2Bat-2B23_00_35.gif?expires=1728404100&signature=3b24413c231092ecbc5b6c658b3c5154dfa4df1da3e8777d6840183a2812722b&req=dSEuHsB%2BmYJZXfMW1HO4zWjfjcpDI5PJLP7nTaI26NkDzA%3D%3D%0A You're all set! You can now save and run your 'Write to Table' column.
Thank you. If I ever delete the table the data is getting pulled from, does it remove the data from the table I am writing from?
No this will not delete the data you've written to that table!
Thank you. I it is not giving me the right data from Ocean. The data is blank. What am I doing wrong?
Do you mind sending the link to the table so we can take a look? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1171717996/ac7729f84b426e1d0358af02/image.png?expires=1728405000&signature=91ed964d5a773e3268e57f214fe6f9f0ffd3693b42d32ce72f2df302754c061f&req=dSEgF85%2FmohWX%2FMW1HO4zYTywCP4BpIW2BKsam%2FhVPt23g%3D%3D%0A
