Good morning, curious if anyone can help with a challenge I'm having with an enrichment waterfall. I'm not able to find a section that allows me to map multiple outputs from the waterfall? Currently it's returning linkedin urls, but not titles for example. The data is there when you dig into each enrichment provider which found a match, but I cannot seem to have the waterfall return a second output TIA!
You can create multiple child columns from your waterfall enrichment to extract different data points like titles alongside URLs. [1]
Here's how:
Click on any cell in your waterfall column that contains the data you want
This opens the Cell details panel on the right
Hover over the specific endpoint you want (like "title") and click Add as column
Enter a column description and click Create column
Repeat this process for each data point you want to extract - you can create separate columns for URLs, titles, and any other available endpoints from your enrichment results. [2]
Is that what you were looking for?
The problem with this is that then I have multipel columsn from each enrichment provider when i want a singular waterfall output
You can map multiple endpoints to the same existing column instead of creating separate ones. When you click "Add as column" for each endpoint (like title, URL), choose "Map to an existing column" and select the same destination column. [1]
This overwrites values in that column, so you'll get one consolidated output rather than multiple columns per provider.
Did that answer your question?
Will it stop the waterfall once that data is found?
or will it run all proivdres and keep overwriting - potentially costing me a lot more
Yes, the waterfall stops once data is found. If a provider finds the data point you're looking for, Clay stops further enrichments and saves you credits. [1]
However, there's an important caveat: if an enrichment is successful but doesn't have the specific data point you want, it will continue to the next provider in the waterfall. [2]
So when you map multiple endpoints to the same column, the waterfall will stop once any provider returns the data you've mapped - whether that's a title, URL, or other field.
Was this explanation clear?
Yes, the waterfall stops once it finds the data you need from any provider. Once Clay finds what it needs from one provider, it won't check the others, saving your credits. [1]
The process stops once a data point is found or all providers are exhausted - it won't keep overwriting and wasting credits. [2]
Did this help?
Ill give it a try!
