Can anyone help me with Lookup function. I found some emails for some leads outside of clay which i have transferred to a table in clay and now i want to match them up with the original table. The tables are not in the same order and share values like First name, company linkedin and domain. How do i do this as i keep getting errors
You can use the "Lookup Multiple Rows in Other Table" action to match your data across the two tables. Here's how: 1. Add a new enrichment column in your current table 2. Select "Lookup Multiple Rows in Other Table" action 3. Choose the table you want to search (your original table) 4. Set up your matching criteria using the shared values: • Select fields like First Name, Company LinkedIn, and domain as your matching parameters • You can use multiple fields to ensure accurate matchingFor better performance, if you expect only one matching record per row, consider using the "Lookup Single Row in Other Table" action instead. Hanad, it looks like your Lookup column is not matching similar values in your setup which is why no matches are being found. Your lookup is looking for a match between the work email column and the LinkedIn url in your current table. Because these values are not similar you are seeing no matches found as the output
Additionally, you want to use the Lookup Single row enrichment here because there's only one unique row of results that you want to pull into your new table. When I match the inputs based on LinkedIn url columns and the filter operator contains, I get record found in these enrichments. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1333450308/600817303de9efcb3efe0ee90456/CleanShot+2025-01-13+at+16_40_32%402x.png?expires=1736806500&signature=efed430c3888f48a0b04ee1ac2193abd417c41093c7dfcc11f2e27d2b8cd80ab&req=dSMkFc17nYJfUfMW1HO4zVyqwpEwRbiwmgK5Zz%2FCj8UWtLmeaA5lXbUYJaI5%0Ae%2BWB%0A
Here's a quick tutorial on how the Lookup integrations work for more details: https://www.loom.com/share/ad767e3be9914d19a2f6647efe4dfa85?sid=fb23f047-55ef-4c2e-a80d-f69ef3c539fe Feel free to take a look now and let me know if you have any further questions!
I understand. theirs still issue that i want to look up according multiple criteria. Reason is because their is multiple First names in my list that are the same and their is also multiple people at each company. So searching according on First name or company linkedin will give me the wrong results if their is a duplicate version anywhere on the list
Hey hanad, it's currently not possible to lookup according to multiple criteria in one column. Each lookup column can only have one criteria, so you would need to create multiple lookup columns per criteria.
It looks like there are also duplicates in your original table in the work email column. I deduped your organizational LN url column as well which had 388 duplicate rows. So this is not the best column to conduct a lookup with either if there are so many duplicates. You want to conduct a lookup with the most unique value. For people searches that would be a people identifier ideally (personal LinkedIn url) but since you don't have LinkedIns I would use the full name column to conduct the lookup https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1333483259/98a754cbae1758fb73e70cc71da9/CleanShot+2025-01-13+at+17_13_03%402x.png?expires=1736808300&signature=c428fcea7daf42f35b13951530e39502451ebd688504aaaf6bff90fc363df3a9&req=dSMkFc12noNaUPMW1HO4zUaki%2FilPNZCSL6vra4UCEcOVH%2B7g0I5mrXpPqDf%0AT46P%0A
