Improving Email Personalization with Gong Engage Workarounds

Do you have any solutions when your team uses a tool like Gong Engage? Gong Engage does not allow to export variables into Engage. So, sending personalised emails from Clay via Gong Engage is a struggle. Workaround I have found so far: Create fields in Salesforce, export the data from Clay to Salesforce fields and let Clay add the person to the Gong Engage Flow. Gong then, uses the Salesforce variables in its email. It is a cumbersome exercise though. Anyone found a better solution for this?
