Is there a way to have GPT o4 mini set as fault agent when using AI?
There seems to be a misunderstanding - there isn't a "GPT-4 Mini" model available in Clay. When using the AI integration, you can select from available models like GPT-4, Claude, or Gemini through the Model selection option. You can set your preferred model when creating an account, and you have two options for accessing these models:1. Use the Clay-managed account (default option) 2. Use your own API key (if you're on a paid plan)To select your preferred model, you can do this through the Model > Account settings when setting up the AI integration. Looks like you're still looking for help. We're escalating this over to our support team and someone should be in touch soon. In the meantime, feel free to include any other information that may be helpful in solving your issue!
Hello Andi! Thank you for reaching out! We currently don’t have a way to set GPT-4 Mini as the default agent when using AI, but thank you for sharing this feedback—it’s super helpful as we work to improve the product. Typically, the defaults are set to match what we see as the highest value or most commonly used options. That said, I’m curious—would you find value in having a default model set account-wide, by user, or perhaps based on the most recently used model? I’ll pass this along to our product team so they can evaluate how this might fit into the roadmap for future improvements. Let me know if you have any other thoughts!
Thanks Anaum! User- wide is prob fine. I'm making a wild guess here but I would guess most users under Enterprise would use GPT 4o mini for most Claygent use cases, and turn to Clay buildin agents like Argon/Helium only when/if GPT 4o mini fails or if it's too complicated. But everyone has preferences so user-wide setting would be ideal
Thank you so much! I’ll share this with our team. Keep a lookout in the company announcements channel for any updates! 😊
Anaum K. tysm! the other thing I wanna mention is, Claygent and GPT aren't exactly competitors. For those who would use GPT o4 mini for most parts, I simply wont need Claygent Argon for the easy tasks considering Clay credit is 1.6 cent VS o4 mini cost 0.05 cent. That's 30x cost differences. On the flip side, for the tasks that GPT aren't good at, I'm using Claygent anyways. Now the shitty part is, it's very easy to click on GPT o4 (not mini) and accidentally run 5K rows with it....that's more costly than Helium and sometime more than Argon lol
