Hey! Anyone tried connecting Smarter Contact to Clay as a phone number verification tool? I tried creating custom api and webhooks via Zapier but can’t make it work since they don’t give out api key (only integrates with Zapier)
While we don't have a direct integration with Smarter Contact, you can still connect it to Clay using Zapier and our HTTP API feature. Here's how: 1. Set up a Zap in Zapier that triggers from Smarter Contact. 2. Add a Clay action in your Zap. 3. Use your Clay API key to connect the accounts. You can find this under Settings > Account > API key in Clay. 4. Configure the Zap to send Smarter Contact data to a Clay table. This method allows you to indirectly use Smarter Contact for phone verification in Clay, even without a direct API key. If you need more detailed guidance on setting this up, let me know, and I can provide step-by-step instructions.
I want to upload contacts in Clay, enrich them, and use Smarter Contact as a verification column
Hey Kirshia! For services that only work with Zapier (no direct API), you can use HTTP API post in Clay to send data to Zapier, have Smarter Contact verify it, and send it back to Clay. However, be aware that using Zapier as a middleware can add complexity to pushing/pulling data compared to native integrations. The HTTP API route through Zapier is currently the most straightforward solution for services without direct API access. Hope this helps! :) Feel free to reach out if you need any help!
