Back here again haha, Wanting to find the phone numbers of small company CEOS. Ran a waterfall by inputting a linkedin url but am getting the error message. Maybe some help on how to correctly get it?
Hey Ethan, welcome back!😅 I am checking your table.
Heyy Ethan, The waterfall enrichment is giving no results because it's using the company's LI url as the social url to check. To get the phone numbers of CEOs at those companies, it'll be more seamless to enrich those contacts and pull their LI profile urls.I noticed you're using Claygent to find them and have a PDL column to enrich. I have updated your PDL column to use full name & company name for the enrichment. However, this + the phone number enrichments presents two different workflows in your table that may burn more credits than necessary. You could try this workflow:- Use this LinkedIn enrichment `(I have added this column and set it up for you) instead of Claygent to get more consistent results and profiles for CEOs/Founders (this will pull their LI urls as well) It's set to return one profile that matches your search criteria. - Add LI profile urls from the search results to your Waterfall enrichment to pull phone numbers. Let me if know if this helps!
This is the enrichment you can use instead of Claygent:
alright thank you so much, I’ll check it out when I get home
and for the phone number?
That’s not included in the enrichment is it?
Hey Ethan, happy to help! The phone number enrichments will run based on the LI urls that are pulled from "Find Contacts at Company"This is the flow: Run "Find Contacts at Company" > > "Extract the contact's LI url from the results" > > Map this to the social url field in the waterfall enrichment for phone numbers. I set this up for you. You can test for one or two rows when you have some time. Hope this helps!
Hey Daniela
I just got back
just double checking but I remember you said you added something in the table? I don't see any changes
oh nevermind I see the column
I'm still confused about the pulling phone numbers part though..
two things,
one of which is that I ran the first 10 rows and it only returned 2 profiles
so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do about the rest
and 2, from here where do I extract the contact's Li url from the results? After I have done that what waterfall enrichment do I input it to?.. The one that burns lots of credits?
Hey Ethan
Looking into this right now!
Just a heads up i'm going to be editing the table a bit. For phone number - you need to map the linkedin URL from the find contacts search. Right now you have the company linkedin mapped.
What you have now:
What it should be:
sounds good
yes so
I hope I didn't delete it but I tried to do contacts search however it can't find 90% of the contacts
Just added a 2nd enrich to try to find people
+ added a new phone waterfall - you're only charged if a phone number is found
yeah I see it
It doesn't look like it's being accurate though?
Which ones look off?
Right now it's running based on the domain column
Let me try a different set of inputs
I know that you can use the find people option
I just wanted to know if there was an easier way of finding CEOs and their numbers (assuming it's this!)
Find people works well for most businesses - but looks like you mainly have SMBs and local businesses on this list
For local businesses - we typically recommend this workflow: https://www.clay.com/learn/find-and-enrich-local-businesses-with-google
Most local biz owners have linkedin profiles, but they don't always linkedin company profiles
Which is why the find people search doesn't work well
Or they don't have their account connected to the linkedin company profile
Yup I would def use the google maps local leads but the problem with that is that I can't choose small businesses/employee sizes
Checking out a few LI profiles you have in this table and the founders aren't listed as employees
it's at complete random
oh that too.. I don't think it's being very accurate. Tried Claygent and the results are different as well
Ya unfortunately that's likely the best workflow still. It's a few cents extra per row - but accuracy is going to be the most spot on.
which one
the find people?
Google Maps workflow
ah I see
in the video above
Ya it doesn't seem as efficient from a first glance - but when you look at accuracy and credit spend it's the best
and so I wouldn't be able to have an idea of what the company sizes are?
Once you find the companies via google maps, you can run "Enrich Company" from Linkedin to get the company sizes
then filter from there
I see
What size are you looking for though? Most local businesses are going to be 10 people or less so it likely will align with what you need
well
I can send another table I tried it on and show you
it was complete random
Gotcha
Yep this leads back to SMBs not often being on LinkedIn
So its not just that there's no match found or the wrong match - it's that they don't exist on linkedin or they don't have their domain properly mapped to their LI profile
I gotta jump right now but can take a look later tonight. Just a heads up though - if you want some really in depth help here it may be worth while to hire an expert to help more with any implementation-> clay.com/experts
Got you
so you recommend that I stick to google maps instead of linkedin but have random size companies?
Enriched with the employee count and most of the "local SMBs" are huge companies 🥲
anyway, updated that table with the employee count, any specific recommendations to get the owner's number without burning too many credits? (And finding the owner too lol) In the case of finding the owner, I can search "Find people" but again, not sure if that's the most efficient wise in terms of credits and both accuracy.
I just googled some of them and i think those datapoints are wrong actually. Like 144 Academy Jiu Jitsu/Self-Defense/Fitness says "22,000" but i think that's just wrong actually on the pitchbook side - it looks to be mismatched
yup I saw that exact one and was surprised too
not sure if there is any other way?
But anyway, do you have any recommendations to get the owner's number without burning too many credits?
I'd use this recipe:
It will find the person -> find phone numbers
It may cost up to 16 or so credits - but that's actually pretty low cost compared to everything else out there
and within Clay it's the lowest cost way to do this still
I checked it out but it finds the email instead of the number which I don't need
since I'm strictly cold calling
Gotcha so you can use that workflow
then delete the email columns
and just add a phone number column afterwards
That uses the LI profile as the input to find phone numbers
oh gotcha
and it has to be 25 credits per row?
no possible accurate alternative?
You’re only charged if the phone number is found
I’d run with our normal phone waterfall
it will be 25 at the max
but you can also just remove that if you don’t want to pay that much per phone number
gotcha thank you
oh one last thing sorry
it doesn't let you remove the work emails since it's conditionally ran
and if I run the phone waterfall, it already requires a contact
Can you send a table link? Not quite following
yeah for sure
Did you already try adding that workflow?
the phone workflow?
it requires a contact/profile url to play it
This one:
Yep so you add this one^
oh no, since I don't need emails
Still use that
but once it’s created
delete the email columns
and am starting to get very limited on credits
alright
You still need it to find the person on LI first
and that's the only way possible?
because I could just play this out
Those are the same - its just with the recipe we have it already set up + AI to verify it’s the right person
You can save that recipe without running it too
alright, I'll do the first one then
