Does email waterfall charge credits if emails were found but are invalid through ZeroBounce?
When running an email waterfall, you are only charged credits for the provider that successfully finds valid data. If an email is found by a data provider but fails the ZeroBounce validation check, the waterfall will continue running to find a valid email. This means you won't be charged credits for emails that are found but marked as invalid through the validation process. Hey team, not sure if I messed up somewhere, but couple issues:
waterfall charging credits for invalid emails (screenshot 1 & 2๏ผ
ZeroBounce aren't running/showing results on sub-sequent runs inside of waterfall (screenshot 3)
Here's the table in case you need it: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/449716/tables/t_fnzhBnFuDpxF/views/gv_oC94YKPTv2NH
I've only taken out one of the Waterfall vendor (People Data Lab) and added condition to only run if (previous independent Zerobounce email status column does not equal to valid)
ZeroBounce charges for checking emails, whether they turn out valid or invalid - it's the verification process itself that uses credits, not just finding valid ones. Think of it like running a diagnostic test - you pay for running the test regardless of the result. In your screenshots, John's email isn't being validated in subsequent runs because LeadMagic already marked it as invalid in the first step. This is actually working as intended - when an email is found invalid by one provider in the waterfall, there's no need to check it with others. Regarding removing providers or adding conditions (inside of the waterfall), you don't need to add extra conditions and to remove providers. I'd recommend doing it inside of the waterfall directly, for example: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1323698474/21d636da1a1bceba1f1efa2d67dc/CleanShot+2025-01-06+at+_17qU3tgKSr.gif?expires=1736207100&signature=3cb2b632b6f72cbd7cf52300d35f764d6b07f21be01b384c035378041c46ffbf&req=dSMlFc93lYVYXfMW1HO4zR0K%2F%2FoTX3MdjZLBcLVXA5sC%2F9XRMSgLHUUhNnxJ%0AagOu%0A
Okay perfect! Thanks again Bo!
