I'm using Clay AI's Find Local businesses using google maps to find funeral homes in my area, but the tool returned "Businesses Search completed; nothing found." Given that there are definitely funeral homes in my location, I wanted to check if there might be an issue with the data source, filters, or query settings. Could you help me troubleshoot this? Let me know if you need any details from my end. I've attached a screenshot of my inputs to the chat. Thanks!
There are a few reasons why you might not be getting results for funeral homes in your area: 1. Search area size: The Google Maps integration limits results to 20 per search area. If your initial search covers a large area, it may not capture all businesses. 2. Non-business areas: If your search includes non-business areas like rural regions, you might get empty returns. To troubleshoot: 1. Adjust your search area: Focus on specific locations with a manageable perimeter. 2. Be patient: The integration may take time to populate all results. What initially appears as no listings could grow as data loads. 3. Refine your search: Aim for a location that would yield fewer than 1,000 results for more accurate data. If you still face issues after trying these steps, let me know, and we can explore further solutions.
That answered my question. Thanks
I used the Find Company Claygent for each row to retrieve email addresses from the domains I have. However, many results are appearing as a long text labeled "reasoning." This section explains whether an email was found or not. While some results display the email directly, others do not, even though the reasoning section confirms the email was found when I click on the box. I have attached a screenshot to show you more information
Some email addresses may not be directly displayed in the Find Company Claygent results due to how certain data providers handle email access. For instance, Apollo now requires an additional step to unlock emails. When you see "[email_not_unlocked@domain.com](mailto:email%5Fnot%5Funlocked@domain.com)" instead of the actual email, it means the email was found but needs to be extracted separately. To get the actual email: 1. Use "Find People at Company By Job Title" to identify the right people. 2. Extract results to a new table using the "write each item to new row in other table" function. 3. In the new table, use "Enrich Person From Apollo" and map necessary columns (excluding email). 4. Run the enrichment to retrieve the saved contact's email address. This approach ensures you have the highest chance of finding the email you want, as we use multiple data sources to provide accurate email data.
