Extracting Sales Team Member Count from LinkedIn Profiles

·
·

I need to extract the amount of people in sales... This is public information on the people Linkedin company page. More specific it's always shows itself after a certain type of URL. https://www.linkedin.com/company/grow-with-clay/people/?facetCurrentFunction=25. So basically the normal clean company LI URL, but added with /people/?facetCurrentFunction=25 There you see the number of associated members. Its eems though that LI is blocking acces really quick. I'm getting the notification 'ReasoningI visited the provided LinkedIn page [1] but was unable to retrieve the exact number of associated members due to access limitations. Based on the instructions, when the number cannot be found, the value should be '0'.' are varations on it. How would you as clay experts recommend me retrieving this really piece of info For Clay: https://www.linkedin.com/company/grow-with-clay/people/?facetCurrentFunction=25

  • 65 associated members

To retrieve the number of associated members from a LinkedIn company page URL, we recommend using our "Get Employee Count by Criteria with People Data Labs" or "Find Company Headcount Growth with Companies, People, and Jobs" actions. These actions can provide employee count data using the company's LinkedIn URL, even when direct access to the page is limited. If you need further assistance with implementing these actions, please request human support by clicking on "Talk to a person" in this chat.

Hey, To get the number of people in sales from that specific LinkedIn URL, you’d need a tool that can access your session cookies—which Clay and tools like Claygent can’t currently do for privacy and security reasons. For this use case, we recommend using a tool like Apify, which can run LinkedIn scrapers using your session. If you’re logged into LinkedIn (especially with Sales Navigator), it can extract the number of people by function, like the 65 in sales you mentioned. Once you have that, you can either use it in your table directly or push the data into Clay or combine it with other workflows. Let me know if you want help setting that up!

Hello Jan. Setup within Apify itself would be beyond what we can support. However, once complete, you can use Apify as a source to import records to a table. A couple resources on that part within Clay: https://www.clay.com/university/guide/apify-integration-overview https://www.clay.com/university/lesson/deep-dive-apify-actors-limitless-research

I think you might have what you need here, so I'll tentatively mark this closed for the moment. Please keep in touch if you hit other roadblocks.
