Hi all!! I followed this guide to find and validate contacts: https://www.clay.com/learn/find-work-emails-from-linkedin However, I still encountered a 12% bounce rate. Do you have any advice on how to reduce it? What strategies have worked for you? Thank you!
Hey Daria, thanks for reaching out! Hopefully, others can share their practices or approaches for this.Since these emails come from those data providers, using the validation tools to check them usually helps but the team recently added a toggle option to only return "safe to send" values. The potential tradeoff is that the number of "valid" or "safe" emails could be a bit lower overall because most catch-alls are labeled risky even when they're valid. I do see a few people using this option though.
Other than this, ensure your domain and its deliverability records are also set up accordingly. Some may also have their best practices for this.
Thanks Arturo! The domain setup is fine; Iāve checked that. As for the āsafe to sendā feature, Iāve tried it, but unfortunately, the resulting contact list is significantly smallerāabout 90% fewer contactsācompared to when I donāt use it. So, to be honest, it doesnāt seem like a convenient solution for me. Hopefully, someone else could contribute to this conversation as well!
Yep!! Let's see what they can share. Hopefully, with AI and all, these data providers eventually get a lot better and much more accurate lol
Quick update: (especially in case someone finds this thread while having the same issue) - I checked bounced emails on www.zerobounce.net/ and www.usebouncer.com/. Both services were able to identify 90% of email addresses as invalid that actually bounced. So it looks like https://debounce.io/ is not as reliable compared to them.
Appreciate the insights!
I have similar observations. āSafe to sendā from debounce have to many false positives. Still Iām using Debounce without āsafe to sendā in waterfall and then additionally usebouncer. Arturo O. would be great to add usebouncer as validation provider :)
Nice! Will submit that as a request, Grzesiek Z.!
Not sure if you're already doing this, but if you have an account with them, you can use our HTTP API to connect with Usebouncer in the meantime :) Quick video on how HTTP API works: https://www.loom.com/share/114ff06973bd4ed7985b32fa031be867
