hey folks, this is just ridiculous. I bough 14k credits yesterday. Today, I made a mistake in one of my giant tables: I converted a checkbox to a number. Even though I undid the change, Clay reprocessed ALL 18k rows as a result. This ended up using up ALL my credits. I turned off auto update for the table to stop the jobs. But, when I turn it back on, it restarts the jobs. 1/ Can you please refund my credits? 2/ Can you please advise how to stop Clay from processing an entire table when I make a mistake like that?
This is the table where I made the mistake: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/243917/tables/t_sbc2QHGupiB7/views/gv_nP8raYfZuh7G
ping
can you please give me back my credits? I need to run some jobs
Hi Adil, so sorry you had this issue. I'm going to send the credits over now. In the future, you can turn off auto-update for downstream columns.
How to Turn Off Auto-Update for Downstream Columns in Clay:
To turn off auto-update for individual columns: 1. Click on the column you want to modify 2. Look for "Run Settings" 3. Toggle OFF the "Auto-update" button*
To turn off auto-update for an entire table: 1. Click the three dots (⋯) next to your table name 2. Select "Auto-Update Columns" 3. This will disable auto-update for all columns in the table Alternative method: • Look for the recycle arrow icon at the bottom right of your table • Click it to toggle auto-update on/off for the entire table*
Best Practice Workflow 1. Build Mode: Turn auto-update OFF while setting up your table 2. Test: Manually run 1-2 rows to verify everything works correctly 3. Launch Mode: Turn auto-update ON when ready to launch your tableThis approach helps prevent unexpected credit usage while giving you full control over when your downstream columns execute!
Hi Adil, I'm looking closer at the table you send and the credits spent, is 1.36k the correct amount?
