How to Count Companies in HGInsights Without Using Credits

·
·

Hi, I'm trying to use HGInsights enrichment to get companies that use specific technology. Is there a way to understand how many companies will be returned before using all credits? Not the companies themselves but only the count. I don't find a way to do it.

To get a count of companies using specific technology with HG Insights in Clay without using all your credits, you can use the "Find companies by tech stack" source action. Here's how: 1. Add the HG Insights source to your table. 2. In the "Products" field, enter the specific technology you're interested in. 3. Use the "Max companies" field to limit the number of results (e.g., set it to 100). 4. Set a "Maximum credit cost" to stay within your budget. This approach will give you a sample of companies using the technology, from which you can estimate the total count. Keep in mind that each additional data point (like Total Product Locations) costs extra credits. If you need more precise counts, you might need to consider purchasing credit top-ups, which cost 50% more than your plan's typical credit cost.

Thanks, I want to understand how many companies will be returned. I can limit the number of results but that won't answer the question, as I won't be able to understand how many companies can be returned. I want to understand how many credits I'll need

To determine the total number of companies and credits required for HGInsights enrichment in Clay: 1. Use the "Build company lists based on their tech stack" source action. 2. Set your desired filters (e.g., products, industries, locations). 3. Use the "Maximum credit cost" field to set a budget limit. 4. Run a sample enrichment with a portion of your list (100-1000 records) to get an accurate estimate. Clay will truncate results to stay within your budget. Remember, credit top-ups cost 50% more than your plan's typical credit cost. For a more precise estimate, use the credits calculator at clay.com/credits-calculator. This will help you understand the potential costs before running the full enrichment.

Hey, thanks for reaching out! I’ve replied to your other message, so I’ll close this one. 😊 Just a note for next time—one message is enough since they all reach the same place. Thanks! Sorry for the delay!!!
