is there a way to re-run and/or auto run a "formula" column? cc Esteban L.
for example I have a column that calculates the # of months a contact is in his current role
if I add the column today and it calculates "10" months, but 2 months later it should say "12"... how do I get it to recalculate?
Hey Lenny, thanks for the question!
If you happen to change any of the inputs the formula is using for calculations, it should check and update based on that. Otherwise, if it's not returning the expected results, you can re-prompt it by going to Column header -> Edit Column -> Use AI to see your current prompt/setup
Let me know if you need help though. Feel free to share the table and column you're working with and any other details or examples of what you need so we can troubleshoot
Thanks Esteban L.
Also, forgot to add, if you just need it to update like in your example, I still think re-prompting it with the new date would be best since it currently can't calculate or sync in real-time as a "clock"; it calculates based on the current/present time of the request.
How would I reprompt it ?
Just change the date you gave it before generating the formula. Now, if you didn't add a date to calculate based on that, then the other option that could work to "update" or let it re-calculate is by pressing delete while the cell is selected. For example:
Just select an array of cells and then DEL
