Hi Team - I accidentally deleted a column I thought was obsolete and there doesn't seem a way for me to add it back as it was a column created from Find People. Can support add the column back?
š Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch within 24 hours (often sooner!). If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Table: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/10589/workbooks/wb_7EDHGpb3uPAA/tables/t_cBRlZycGJKlv/views/gv_2kKMNrSTLIpc It was a column which did the lookup from the Find Companies table. It was the last column I deleted from this table and I can't use a general lookup column because the recordId field isn't publicy accessible {{f_FYl6qD7T9Lci}}
Hey, thanks for reaching out! Ahhh, Iām so, so sorry. I wish I had better news for you, but thereās nothing we can do yet. The reason is that we donāt hold the data; itās just being āparkedā here. So when the data is deleted or removed, thereās not much we can do other than calling it back from a provider or CSV. I know the team has been discussing that capability, and it might come soon, but for now, thereās nothing I can do. How many credits were spent? If you need any more help or have any questions, feel free to reach out! š
Hey Bo - so how can I get that column to repopulate from the find companies table? I canāt add a row lookup because the company table look up looks up the row by record id and that isnāt a field I can look up via a normal lookup field
Itās specific to the find companies table that auto adds the column and now I need to get that column back but not sure how
Itās not a credit issue btw, itās a data mapping issue. I donāt care about getting the old data back, I just need to restore the column that will map to new rows moving forward. This one: {{f_FYl6qD7T9Lci}}
Just to confirm, youāre trying to pull data from the company table that was previously populated via the āFind Peopleā lookup, correct? A normal lookup should work for this. Iāve already added the lookup to your table at the end. You can also check out this Loom video for more details on how it works. Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance! š
Hey Bo - thanks for sending! Iām not at my comp, I know how normal lookups work but this column that was deleted isnāt a standard lookup column, itās an auto generated one by clay from find company and itās mapped via company id which is not a native mappable field via lookup. This is why I need the column added back because thatās the only unique identifier there is to lookup. Specially I need the company description in this table mapped from the find company table
Hey Mike! Happy to help. I made a quick video showing where this column is in your table and how to re-run to get the company description field: https://share.cleanshot.com/pVyQxNdy Let me know if this helps!
Amazing thank you so much for the help Daniela!
Thanks! We've reopened this thread. You can continue to add more detail directly in this thread.
Sorry, I realized this solution didn't actually work, the lookup is pulling the company_record_id from the wrong find people search and it doesn't allow me to pull from the correct find people search. I'm a bit confused with all the different random columns that exist, maybe you can help me figure out how to fix and how to remove unnecessary columns? The goal is we'll only use that Find Companies table and anytime we need to make another search we'll just update the source so we only use one company search, then as it adds companies to this table, I want to have the find people USE THIS search auto run into my Find People table in this workbook.
Hey there Mike jumping in for Daniela, to answer you questions currently we have no way to removing these sources from the table, although thi is something that been brought up to the teams attention. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1226708615/0da255259439955971cef138b9bb/image.png?expires=1729715400&signature=857915fb084fdf0cdaaa3c7094994ab928a55d1e4341338aa9741a47ad943ae5&req=dSIlEM5%2BlYdeXPMW1HO4zXvHxBKrM4JrTNxtltJITuDNhx4SRWKrpq1gt9s3%0AtmgH%0A Secondly the people searches that are appearing your Company Leadscope table will be added whenever the option to "Find people at these companies" is selected from the "Actions" menu. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1226711045/0d3b5b7cc6ec465b5386f9a582d9/image.png?expires=1729715400&signature=d44cf2216ab8d699ca2b1c5559c3d6175b8f7e742b2d640f860ef83e3284e934&req=dSIlEM5%2FnIFbXPMW1HO4zWpwocT4pp9SGhSzOEdpQWvoFD1c9%2BkAlXmnZrnT%0AqHJd%0A What you can do if you are looking for leads in the people table from a specific search is to use our "Filter" option to filter the leads by the People search sources in this table. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1226724297/758b095604ef4328a9627a162819/image.png?expires=1729715400&signature=8d2541023437a68fdc7f1781b933f5c4e6743ef33cc3ce2c4e24ce3ab7a2c4d3&req=dSIlEM58mYNWXvMW1HO4zaJnab%2Fm5Q8A1NlC9T%2BAJQH%2BrRPfl1Uo2BEEW4bd%0AF0UL%0A
Thank you! But how can I map the company record id from lookup column since it doesnāt let me map it to that specific find people search?
Hey there Mike if you are trying to use the Company record ID in the this won't be possible since this Record ID is only present in the People table and will not appear at all in the Company table from where it originates from. If you wish to make use of the Lookup Integration we would recommend using either the Company Domain or a Company LinkedIn profile URL instead as the are usually the best unique identifiers to use for the integration.
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
