Is it possible to extend the timeout time on clay?
While we don't have specific information about extending timeout times, we do offer a way to extend your trial period if that's what you're referring to. If you have a pre-existing Clay account and your trial has expired, you can use our one-time self-serve trial extension. Here's how: 1. Make sure you're logged into Clay 2. Visit this link: https://app.clay.com/extend-my-trial/ 3. This will give you another 2 weeks to explore our features 4. You may need to refresh your page after extending to see the update If the self-serve option doesn't work for you and you need further assistance, you can request to speak with a human agent by clicking on "Talk to a person" in this chat.
I meant when running a cell. I keep getting timed out error
Find match column
We don't have a specific feature to extend timeout times in Clay. However, if you're experiencing issues related to session expiration, you can try logging out of Clay and logging back in to refresh your session token. This often resolves errors during data export or other time-sensitive operations. If you're referring to extending your trial period, we offer a one-time self-serve trial extension for pre-existing Clay accounts. You can get an additional 2 weeks by visiting https://app.clay.com/extend-my-trial/ while logged into your account. Could you clarify what specific operation or feature you're trying to extend the timeout for? This will help me provide more targeted assistance.

To resolve the timeout error when running a "Find match column" cell in Clay, try these steps: 1. Perform a hard refresh: • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R 2. If the issue persists, try running the column in smaller batches: • Right-click on the column • Hover over "Run Column" > "Choose Number of rows to run" • Specify a smaller number of rows to run 3. Check for dependencies between columns and remove any run conditions if necessary. If these steps don't resolve the issue, you may need further assistance. You can request to speak with a human agent by clicking on "Talk to a person" in this chat.

ok it's working sometimes but times out still sometimes
Hey there Clark thanks for reaching out, taking a look at this quick question, I see you are using the HTTP API to connect with Open AI, is there a reason you prefer this method over the Open AI integrations we have?
I was trying to get o3 as a research model but that didn't seem to work so I just kept it cause it was already plugged in lol
but for the time out thing, is it possible to extend the time before a column times out on a http lookup?
also is it possible for a celll to auto retry upon failure?
That would be ideal
is it a rate limit setting thing maybe?
Hi Clark, thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, it's not possible to increase the timeout for HTTP APIs—the current limit is set at 1 minute. If you're seeing timeouts when running two cells, it's likely due to limitations on the API side, as some APIs can't handle multiple simultaneous requests and may respond slowly. To answer your other question, there isn’t currently a way for cells to automatically re-run after a failure. This is to prevent the risk of creating an infinite loop of retries. I hope this clarifies things! Let me know if you have any other questions or need further assistance :)
