Can You Use Custom Object IDs for Lookup in HubSpot?

Β·
Β·

Hi Team --- When looking up an object in HubSpot, there are standard object types available, but can I use a custom object ID (eg - 2-123456) and do a lookup on those records? I've been using the HubSpot API and HTTP API in Clay to do this, but it would be nice to use the standard lookup. I did try this with a custom object ID, and it doesn't seem to be returning and fields to use for search.

Yes, you can use a custom object ID for lookup in Clay's HubSpot integration. However, the standard lookup action might not support custom objects directly. Here's what you can do: 1. Use the "Lookup Object" action in Clay. 2. Select your HubSpot account. 3. Choose "Custom Object" as the Object Type. 4. Use the HubSpot Object ID as the search parameter. If you're not seeing fields to search, it might be due to how custom objects are set up in HubSpot. To troubleshoot, try using the HTTP API method you mentioned. If you encounter any JSON-related issues, please share the JSON in the chat so we can help further.
