clay column exceed limit error upon importing CSV
The "clay column exceed limit" error occurs because Clay has a maximum limit of 70 columns per table (with 30 of these being action/integration columns). When importing your CSV, ensure your file has fewer than 72 columns. To resolve this: 1. Reduce the number of columns in your CSV file 2. Use UTF-8 encoding with comma separators 3. Remove any "created at" or "updated at" columns 4. Try uploading to Google Sheets first, then download as CSV If you still need help, please request human assistance.
Hi Arnav, thank you for reaching out. Currently, we limit the table to 72 columns per table (with 30 of these being action/integration columns). When importing your CSV, ensure your file has fewer than 72 columns, or you will not be able to upload this CSV. i suggest removing any columns you do not find helpful for your workflow.
