I need help with building lists using Apollo and wondered if there is a tutorial on how to do this. Hey, thanks for the reply. Ultimately, I would like to start by building my "company list" using apollo and then use the "find people" function to build the contact list also using apollo. That way, I can use my API link to get all the contacts I need using apollo. Is this possible? Otherwise I will be using many credits to build lists in clay when I know apollo can do all of this anyway. Thanks

Hi, So I spoke with the apollo team and they said that I have to use zapier to get prospect information from clay as they don't support clay natively. But this is not the case. Apollo created a zapier integration to trigger an action when an update has happened in apollo (not in clay). Here's a list of triggers they sent to me. Is there any other help you can share in terms of how I can get prospect data from apollo using clay.

Hi, I again spoke to apollo and they said that if I am getting this error message "email_ntot_unlocked@domain.com" then apollo needs to know what the clay endpoint is.

Hey Aaron M., sorry for the delay! This is due to the fact that Apollo fixed a bug in their API that had been there for months and why it now says "[email_not_unlocked@domain.com](mailto:email_not_unlocked@domain.com)".Apollo’s API was designed so that when you search for people, a person’s email address wasn’t added to the response unless you had used apollo credits and saved them as a contact to your apollo account.Their API had a bug in it for months, that allowed email addresses to be shown anyway, which they have since patched. In order to fix this, what Clay is going to do is combine people and contacts in apollo in our find people search, so that after you save a contact, you’ll be able to get the email address by re-running the search action in Clay.However, unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do from the Clay side to retrieve the email without you saving the contact moving forward.

Since you're finding people and not enriching them, that's what they're trying to figure out I guess. So after you generate the list of contacts, you have to then Enrich Person from Apollo to get their email, according to their APIs

Thank you for your reply. It sounds like the functionality that we want wont be possible yet. But this is useful to know instead of me trying to break my own balls figuring it out haha
