i did a people search on a large set of titles and it returned minimal results, curious how searching logic works? https://app.clay.com/workspaces/532984/w/find-people?existingSourceId=s_0t6amb3bfVF[…]ableId=t_0t6amb6gXMH4vBWkfU5&workbookId=wb_0t68m5qxVBgE6c9Tamk
Our Find People search has different matching modes that affect results. By default, it uses semantic matching - so searching "Software Developer" returns similar titles like "Frontend Engineer" and translated versions. [1]
If you're getting minimal results with many titles, try switching to broader job functions instead of specific titles (like "marketing" vs "VP of Marketing"). We also auto-query similar job titles now, so you don't need to list every variation. [2]
You can also toggle "Job title must contain exact" for stricter matching - this requires results to contain at least one of your search terms but excludes synonyms.
What specific titles were you searching for? That might help identify why results were limited.
