A Better Way to Determine If a Website is an Ecommerce

·
·

Hello! First of all I wanna say I love the product and I have even created a newsletter on my Clay flows that went from 0 to 150 subscibers in 5 days! Coming to the issue... I need a a way to better understand wether a website is an ecommerce or not. I scraped data from Storeleads and I have a Clayagent integrations which ask wether it's an ecomemrce or not. It's working quite well but there are some false positive and it's quite expensive. Is there any way to do it in a better way? My table Arturo O.

I assume you’ve tried this already, but in case it’s helpful - could you run a BuiltWith integration to see if you can find any ecommerce related tools on the site?

Thanks Joe R. A few problems with this approach:

    • Preatty expensive

    • Even if you have a CMS (like shopify) it doesn't mean you an active ecomm.

But if you have some suggestions on other tech I am would love to hear this

What are some key identifiers of these false positives? maybe that could be used to refine Claygent's search

I am sorry, false negative. They are an ecomm but it results in the opposite Arturo O.

Ah, okay! We could still figure out what would be key indicators for those edge cases and properly define them in the prompt so Claygent understands those should be consideredDo you have an example in your table? I can take a look and see what we can add

I see. On the first point, I think BW is 2 credits so even on the lowest paid plan that’s about 15 cents which could be cheaper than claygent depending on the complexity of the task. But it’s a moot point since your second issue makes me think that you have to use something like claygent to get the right data

Thanks for the update and letting us know, Michael! Not currently an option like with Claygent but can ask if that could be added.

Hi all! How can I sync Clay to refelct new recent contacts i've added? Is there an SLA? I'd like to get my contacts added immediately after meeting them so that I can add notes when they're fresh in my mind!
