OpenAI API errors in Clay are often caused by incorrect API keys or insufficient usage tier limits. For Claygent specifically, you need 450,000 TPM (tokens per minute) on your OpenAI account - free plans and tier 1 won't support this requirement. Check your OpenAI usage limits at https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/limits to verify your tier meets the requirements. First, verify your OpenAI API key at https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys and update it in Clay if needed. If the issue persists, your OpenAI account may need upgrading to a higher tier for reliable Claygent functionality.
