To set up a dynamic source in Clay, you can configure it to run on a schedule: 1. Click on the "Source column title" 2. Under "Sources", select your source 3. Choose "On a schedule" 4. Set your preferred frequency (Day, Week, or Month) This will make your source update automatically at your chosen frequency, keeping your data dynamic and up-to-date.

is doing this different than leaving 'run this source' as manual (not on a schedule), and selecting 'update now'? both suggest a dynamic update

Yes, there is a key difference between scheduled and manual updates: A scheduled source automatically refreshes data at your chosen frequency (hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly) without requiring any manual intervention. In contrast, selecting "Update now" on a manual source only pulls new records once, at that specific moment. Without scheduling, the source remains static until you manually trigger another update. To keep your data consistently current, you'll want to set up the source as dynamic by enabling scheduling. This ensures new entries that match your import filters are automatically imported at your specified cadence.

When changing filters and using "Update now", there might be a few reasons why you're not seeing changes in row count: 1. Loading delays are common, especially with larger tables. Empty spaces or unchanged row counts can occur due to these delays. To ensure your filter changes are properly applied: 1. Use the preview feature before updating to verify how many companies match your new employee count criteria 2. Scroll through the preview to review the matching companies and confirm your filters are working as expected If the issue persists after previewing and waiting for potential loading delays, you may need to create a new source with your desired filters instead of modifying the existing one.

    Hey Eugene,

Sorry about this confusion. When you edit the search, it doesn't remove previous results - it only adds new ones. So changing the employee count filter won't reduce your results.

To remove results, you'll need to use the table filters directly. Try using "does not contain any of" in the company size column, which will remove those results. Then you can do a new people search based on that filtered view.

Let me know if you need help setting this up!
