Custom Signals: Challenges in Monitoring Post Interactions

playing around with custom signals. I have tested one signal around monitoring posts, i would have thought there would be a way it could go hand in hand with pulling out Monitor interactions with professional posts but it seems there is no way to select from another table the posts you want to monitor. Does it have to be input manually?

With Custom Signals, you don't need to manually input each post you want to monitor. You can select a source to monitor and configure it accordingly. When creating a custom signal: 1. Click + Add → Custom signal in a workbook, or Actions → Import → Custom signal in a table 2. Select the source you want to monitor (like social media platforms) 3. Configure your source settings 4. Set your preferred monitoring frequency This allows you to set up automated monitoring of posts based on your configured criteria rather than manually inputting each post.

i still dont see how to tie the data together. Specifically i have a list of posts i want to track comments for. How do i get the track comments signal working on that set of posts

To track comments for a specific list of posts, you'll need to: 1. Create a Custom Signal by clicking + Add → Custom signal in a workbook, or Actions → Import → Custom signal in a table. 2. Select Reddit as your source to monitor. 3. Configure the source with your Reddit account (connect it if you haven't already). 4. For each post you want to track, you'll need to provide: • Post ID • Subreddit • Optional: Maximum number of results 5. Set your preferred monitoring frequency. 6. Add any optional enrichments like notifications. 7. Save your signal. You'll need to create separate signals for each post you want to monitor, as the "Find post comments" action requires specific post details for each one.

Hey, yes — for now, the posts you want to monitor need to be added manually. If you have them in a CSV, you can paste the list into ChatGPT and ask it to format them as a comma-separated string. Then just drop that into the signal setup. Let me know if you want help formatting it.
