Hi all- I am brand new to this, but running into issues with an HTML API. I followed the video instructions and pulled the info from the API docs i need to pull from, but nothing is populating in Clay. Not sure what im doing wrong
Hi Jesse, thanks for reaching out. Do you mind sending the link to the table so we can take a look? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1171717996/ac7729f84b426e1d0358af02/image.png?expires=1730480400&signature=72bacd84ad88b7726815dd85bc4d919c770ec97adaf8c0bd08cc326db8469593&req=dSEgF85%2FmohWX%2FMW1HO4zYTywSv4DpcS2BKsam%2FhVPsTXw%3D%3D%0A Also, cold you add some context on what application you're trying to integrate with here?

Im trying to pull data from the state of NY into clay, and then enrich the company info I find with data from google sheets that is coming from Cannabiz.media
Hi Jesse, I noticed the dynamic variables you’re inputting to the NY State APIs are missing. Do you have a list of companies you want to run these enrichments for? You can import this list into the Clay table using the CSV import function: just go to Actions > Import > CSV. Values are usually automapped, but you can adjust them as needed or even add new columns. Here’s a quick video to guide you through the setup: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1140209339/6c7d4f2ee958f1e0107802c7/CleanShot+2024-08-09+at+10_31_50.gif?expires=1730483100&signature=08c31f9238d59ef0530f10b6787cb97c3e32df14d1112fa6a8b691dc157bb527&req=dSEjFst%2BlIJcUPMW1HO4zeIED6XUeYryoF8VUCMMGZgdGA%3D%3D%0A Once you pull in your company records you should be able to enrich them with all the information needed to kick off a search with the required fields for the data.ny.gov/resource endpoint. I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!
Im trying to use the NY state page to pull in the company names
You’ll need to provide specific inputs for the API call to return information, as this endpoint doesn’t support bulk data downloads. Make sure you have a shortlist of companies and the necessary parameters ready for retrieving their NY State data; otherwise, the call won’t work.
so its going to make more sense to export that data via CSV into Clay, and then use clay to enrich from there?
That's right, depending on what data you're looking to engage with here you should be able to export the data to a csv file and then import it to a Clay table: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1236838053/3a9a824621567a5124724718e208/CleanShot+2024-11-01+at+13_50_06%402x.png?expires=1730484900&signature=198d0aca0dd12fd5ab4c136b902008a8a773e0913cdfefb359576620e1c4100a&req=dSIkEMF9lYFaWvMW1HO4zX67u0e6BtG4gyUbWIYu67tlvheEUaIwd4vleKKW%0A67Q0%0A
I believe this should be the data you're looking for - there's an option to export this table to a csv file: https://data.ny.gov/Economic-Development/Current-OCM-Licenses/jskf-tt3q/about_data
yup. I appreciate the help Bruno. Im going to play with this more over the weekend. Keen to figure this out. I have yet to find anyone in the cannabis industry or clay consultants who has cracked this for the cannabis industry.
Sounds good, this seems like an interesting use-case, can you elaborate on what the workflow would look like here? Just curious to learn more about what you're trying to do with this data!
DMing you
