Is there a way for me to limit the number of records that can be created in Salesforce via clay? Leads to be specific. If its per rep that is great, but an overall daily limit is also helpful. I want to give our sales rep the ability to create records via clay and have created templates but need to make sure we stay we respect database sizes on SF and also marketo, since all records created in SF flows into marketo.

We don't have a built-in feature to limit the number of Salesforce records created via Clay per sales rep or with a daily limit. However, there are a few things to consider: 1. When importing from Salesforce reports, there's a 2,000 record limit per report due to Salesforce API restrictions. 2. For creating records, Clay uses the "Create record" action, which doesn't have a built-in limit. 3. By default, Clay won't create duplicate records in Salesforce. You can override this using the "Duplicate Rule Override" option in the Create Record enrichment. To manage record creation, you could consider setting up custom Salesforce rules or using Salesforce's native features to control record creation limits. Is there a specific reason you're looking to limit record creation? Understanding your goal might help us suggest alternative approaches within Clay or Salesforce. Mainly due to database size limits. The current process of creating records is inefficient since reps create lists on clay, export it and then MOPs imports it to Marketo/SF mainly to make sure attribution and marketing opt in info is all set correctly. However, we want to make this a little more easier on the reps and so have created templates that have these fields set correctly, however the concern is reps may push too many records into SF and we may end up going over the database limits sooner than we anticipate.

While Clay doesn't have a built-in feature to set specific daily limits or per-rep restrictions for Salesforce record creation, you can manage this through a few approaches: 1. Use conditional formulas in the Create Record action to control when records are created: โ€ข Set up formulas that evaluate to true only under specific conditions โ€ข This allows you to implement custom logic for when records should be created 2. Leverage Salesforce's duplicate rules: โ€ข By default, Clay won't create duplicate records in Salesforce โ€ข Only disable the duplicate protection if absolutely necessary using the "Duplicate Rule Override" option 3. Configure your workflow settings: โ€ข Use the auto-update settings to control when new records are processed โ€ข You can disable auto-update on your tables to have more manual control over when records are createdFor more granular control over database limits, you may need to implement additional rules directly in Salesforce to manage record creation limits per user or overall.
