Hi everyone! I have a few questions regarding profile searches and exclusions:
I initially ran a search for 1,000 profiles. Then, I ran a second search while excluding the first list of names, but it only returned 611 new profiles. Given my filtering criteria, there should be more than 2,000 profiles available, so I expected a higher total. Could you explain why this happened?
I also noticed that despite excluding the first search when running the second one, there are still some duplicates between the two lists. Why is that?
After merging two lists, is there a way to exclude the entire merged list from a new search? When I attempted this, it only excluded the original list, not the whole merged one. If possible, I’d love clarification on how to properly exclude merged lists.
My company is currently evaluating the best tool to invest in, so understanding these details would be very helpful. Looking forward to your response! Thanks!
Let me address each of your questions: 1. The lower number of results in your second search could be due to search filter limits being applied. While the total available profiles may be over 2,000, factors like restrictions on the number of people per company can reduce the final count of imported profiles. 2. For excluding profiles and handling duplicates, we've recently enhanced our table exclusion feature. To properly exclude profiles: • Use the "Exclude" section when creating a new search • Select your existing table as the exclusion source • Choose matching criteria (like social URL) 3. We've implemented auto-dedupe functionality that helps maintain unique records in your tables by: • Automatically deleting duplicates from the table • Preventing the same user from being enriched multiple timesTo optimize your search results, try reviewing and adjusting your filters to ensure they aren't too restrictive. You can use the Exclude People section to remove profiles from other Clay tables in your new searches. when does someone get in touch?
Hi there. Would you be able the share the specific table where you've been searching/importing? That will help diagnose what's happened. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1347419411/65baf32e1d2a789ffba395c6d35c/CleanShot+2025-01-22+at+_42I1FzxXHf%402x.png?expires=1738333800&signature=a20e4d481561cb4b9bc96029be1e289e77df36f9df76b10a661e1a3d0eb7d523&req=dSMjEc1%2FlIVeWPMW1HO4zVws4pk0DleggvYjA82bedAUiw%3D%3D%0A Looking forward to working through it!
