Understanding Lookalike Table Results with Ocean.io: De-Duplication Insights

Hey, I recently created a lookalike table with ocean.io. Got about 1100 accounts. But after de-dupe, only 300 accounts remain. Is this a glitch or is this how lookalike works?

Hi Mahmuda, Thanks for reaching out! The issue you’re experiencing could be due to deduplication being applied to the wrong column. If the auto-dedupe feature isn’t set to use a unique identifier like the domain, it might be removing two entries that are actually the same. Hey Stefano, the duplication was based on the domain. almost every company has 3 duplicates with every row being identical

Hi Mahmuda, it seems that ocean.io might be retrieving the same company. I would suggest trying to import the companies without the autodedupe feature and see if that is the case!

Hey sorry for the delayed reply. Like you said, Clay gave multiple duplicate rows - more than 600. I would like to get the credits I spent on them back. let me know. Thanks
