Hi guys, I have two questions about the βFind Company Lookalikesβ function. Firstly, I've tried passing the size β1,001-5,000β and also β1,001-5,000 employeesβ, but it always returns the size βSelf-employedβ or gives an error in the return saying that it didn't find it, but when I do the normal search (other than through my created table) it works normally, it manages to find the results correctly. The βsizeβ field in the table is as text, but when I changed it to number it still didn't find it and gave an error or only brought up βSelf-employedβ companies.
π€ You've caught us outside of our support hours (9am-9pm EST), but don't worry - we'll be back in touch within 24 hours (often sooner!). If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in the thread below so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Hi Rodrigo, thanks for reaching out. Do you mind sending the link to the table so we can take a look? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1171717996/ac7729f84b426e1d0358af02/image.png?expires=1729689300&signature=fa2d4a87cb9a5c75ce937c08ee305fb7d30a25c8ec5999b94790e4e3f33c3995&req=dSEgF85%2FmohWX%2FMW1HO4zYTywCL6Dp4V2BKsam%2FhVPu8kg%3D%3D%0A Also, are you referencing our Ocean.io lookalike integration here or Clay's native lookalike tool?
I noticed that youβre using the industry size as a dynamic variable from your webhook data. However, the data referenced in the company size column appears mostly empty or formatted incorrectlyβneither as text nor as a number. Could you provide more context on the type of data being pulled? Since the field is empty, the search defaults to all company sizes rather than the intended one. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1226127910/12c4daad31a5d94f5ae83acae2bd/CleanShot+2024-10-23+at+09_03_54%402x.png?expires=1729690200&signature=17ee02b4cf4ddb9c405af8dddb2c22d986ffaf9c5eeefb1fee6571d0087d1abb&req=dSIlEMh8moheWfMW1HO4zXv6U1Ir9dizrwL5Mp9oUelPKYTPM6FDBD0hChDP%0A2LfL%0A I would suggest using the dropdown menu instead, if you're targeting just 1-5k headcount companies - this will ensure that the search is narrowed down accordingly. I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know! https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1226130174/bc3a38b39eb5f4117635c745dbc3/CleanShot%2B2024-10-23%2Bat%2B09_02_45-402x.png?expires=1729690200&signature=4a251dc3d5aed6acc8ada2cba6519c0062c43a0aec173d246aededba7acbd27b&req=dSIlEMh9nYBYXfMW1HO4zbJSNXrXJARTIiT6MKc81KZx3xAFHlc9w0MBufz4%0ARw53%0A
In the last tests I passed it this way and the return was not what I expected, so what is the correct way to pass it? example: column in text β1,000-5,000β or β1,000-5,000 employeesβ?
I can't use the menu, because sometimes I need a different company size, this 1000-5000 is just for tests
I suggest using the selection tool in the dropdown menu to make sure that the bucket is respected, if you provide parameters outside of those already defined in the dropdown, the search will not take that specific parameter into account. For a more advanced lookalike search tool which will allow you to input very specific headcount information, use the ocean.io integration, which will allow you to select a max headcount and input very specific search parameters without the limitation of the headcount buckets: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1226158045/8f01fcf68a08d3fe7d7dc942043d/CleanShot+2024-10-23+at+09_22_40.gif?expires=1729692000&signature=188e08429bf4757b8bc07cc6277b14d82d2dc081c60bab6b1e4575892299eaff&req=dSIlEMh7lYFbXPMW1HO4zWxvFeDi%2F22P%2FkYQyjnK97nl9bVMjIhSa0B0UCvp%0AO4j7%0A
right, so in order for me to pass via webhook, I can't do it with the current tool, I'd have to switch to this ocean tool, correct? But can you tell me the correct way to pass in the size input with the current tool?
ok, thanks for your help
Happy to help here!
