Searching for Current Employees on LinkedIn: Tips and Tricks

Hey! Is there a way to make sure that when I search for employee’s I only get current ones? I just had a search return a former employee who hadn’t worked at my target company for over 2 years (according to LinkedIn)

Hi Shani! Happy to provide some context. Our data providers use a multitude of ways to access people data. For the most part though, we don't use your cookie/login data. This means that we could miss some information here and there, especially if there are privacy restrictions in place for certain profiles. This would mean that your logged in profile has access to it, but our data providers may not. All this being said, we're continuously working on improving our search algorithm/building the best growth tool possible and are always looking for feedback! If you have specific examples of the differences between your search results, please do share and I'd be more than happy to pass your feedback along to our engineering team. Two alternatives if you want to be 100% sure if the person still works there:

    1. 1.

Export Sales Nav search: Sales Nav has access to private profiles which is also why you might find better data quality results here.

    2. 2.

You can run a seperate column with Claygent (e.g. Anthropic models work here) to verify whether they person still works at the company. You have to feed the LI profile URL though

If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know! 😊 Have a great Monday, Daniel
