hi there. I am trying to pull data in from PhantomBuster using the API connection you guys have set up. but it doesn't pull it in the right way into a Clay table. Am I doing something wrong?
👋 Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch within 24 hours (often sooner!). If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Hey, thanks for reaching out - Could you clarify "not the right way? Do you mean the data isn't in columns? If so here's how touse nested values
Bo (. thanks. yes that's helpful. the issue is I'm trying to reduce the amount of manual work. I'm going to be extracting the same set of information from PhantomBuster every time we run a set of leads. I don't want to have to manually click which fields to add to the column every time. How can I create a standard table that is pulling that is setting up the table in the exact same way every time? So that we don't have to manually do this multiple times per day.
Once you’ve mapped the values like shown in the video, those fields will automatically be added each time. Even if some fields aren’t added as columns, you can still reference them by using the forward slash (/) in any enrichment. If you’re working with multiple scrapers across various tables, you can set up the first table exactly how you want it. After that, simply duplicate the table as many times as needed. The duplication will keep the structure but leave the rows empty, allowing you to start fresh. 😊
should I delete the first column "Pull in Leads from PhantomBuster" ? or will that break it
if I don't want it in the final table
Turning the table off could break things due to dependencies. Instead, you can simply hide the column by clicking on its header, which will preserve all the connections while keeping it out of view. This way, you avoid any disruption while still managing the table more easily 😊.
Bo (. okay great thank you. Last question for now:
What is the "cheapest" way to source the company domain if we have the company linkedin URL?
Should I get a claygent to do research? Should I use an enrichment? The only purpose I need this is to get the email addresses. I tried using just the company LinkedIn url to feed into the "find work email" enrichment and it returned the wrong people's emails. so that doesn't seem to work.
You’re absolutely right! Using Claygent with your own API key is a solid approach, and enriching the company data can provide even more detailed information to work with. Yes, it does require the domain. If you have the person’s LinkedIn profile, you could use the personal email waterfall to find their personal email, but I would also advise against it unless it’s a last resort. Sticking with company-related data tends to be more reliable and professional! 😊
okay got it. and is there a way to automate something like this? once a table is populated with all of the rest of the information, that it then searches for the company domain. once it fetches the company domain, it runs the email capture sequence?
Yes - If you have theauto-update on has soon as any data will come through, they will be going through the sequence if they are linked to a column :)
We haven't heard back from you in a bit, so we're going to go ahead and close things out here - feel free to let us know if you still need something!
