Understanding Zerobounce Validity and Catch-All Emails

Β·
Β·

I am using Zerobounce to validate my email addresses for sending, which is not a tool I have used previously. I started sending and saw a high bounce rate. I am now noticing that Zerbounce, in an email waterfall, will put a "catch all" email through as valid Is this accurate? If zerbounce comes back as "valid" and sub status "catch all" -- then this is a catch all email address right? What should I look for with zero bounce that makes an email address strictly valid without catch all status?

To ensure an email address is strictly valid without a "catch-all" status in Zerobounce, you should use the "Safe to Send" toggle. When activated, this option will only return emails categorized as "valid" and exclude "catch-all" emails. In Clay, you can find this option as "Only 'Safe To Send' Emails?" when using the Zerobounce integration. Turning this on will filter out catch-all emails and return only those classified as valid and safe to send. This approach will help you maintain a more precise email list for your sending campaigns.
