Hi there - trying to get Zapier connecting to Clay, taking a new record from Notion - did the API key but it doesn’t seem to have access?
To connect Zapier to Clay and take a new record from Notion, follow these steps: 1. In Zapier, add a new action and search for "Clay". 2. Select the "Create Record" event. 3. Connect your Clay account by clicking "+ Connect a new account". 4. You'll need your Clay API key. Find it in Clay under Settings > Account > API key. 5. Copy your API key and paste it into Zapier when prompted. 6. Configure the action settings to send the Notion data to your desired Clay workspace and table. 7. Test the Zap to ensure it works correctly. If you're still having access issues, double-check that you've copied the correct API key from your Clay settings. If problems persist, you may need to regenerate your API key in Clay.
Hey Stephen, Can you copy your Workspace ID from the URL (it can be found in any Clay URL: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/HERE) and paste it in Zapier by clicking "custom"? Curious what you're trying to achieve tho? There might not be the need for Zapier here.
Let me know if you need anything else!
Thanks Bo. Am just trying to add a URL to clay to enrich a company (or person), triggered from a new entry in a notion database, where I capture the new data. Would prefer not to use Zapier.
Yes, that makes sense. The best way to do this would be through Webhooks. Notion offers Webhook features that would let you send data directly from Notion into Clay.
Thanks. Where do I get the add new table / source? I don’t have a set of tabs under the table like in the video?
I also get an error message saying “your subscription doesn’t creation of source of type webhooks”? But it says elsewhere it’s free - see attached. and I go to import data and the webhook is not with a an ‘upgrade’ label,
Hey,
You're right, this should be available. I've gone ahead and added it to your account for one month so you can try it out. I've also notified our engineering team so they can fix this issue and show the "Upgrade" for next time.
