I have a question, how often and how recent the person data is in clay, specifically the enrich person function? Is it instant once some changes job or adds an experience?
Person data in Clay isn't updated instantly when someone changes jobs or adds experience. Our data comes from multiple providers with varying refresh rates - some update daily or weekly, while the slowest refresh rate is 3 months. The "Enrich Person" function retrieves information instantly when you run the enrichment, pulling from our providers' current data rather than a static database. Some integrations like Google Search enrichment specifically target records that haven't been refreshed in over 45 days. For the most current data, run the "Enrich Person" action on your records to refresh information for all entries.
so how can I make sure that I have the most up to date data, when Im running these enrichments everyday?
To ensure the most up-to-date data when running daily enrichments, implement a "Last Enrichment Date" system: Set up intelligent refresh cycles: • Add a "Last Enrichment Date" custom property to your CRM • Configure Clay to only enrich records when the Last Enrichment Date exceeds your specified timeframe (e.g., 30+ days) • Clay automatically updates this date after each enrichment Benefits: • Prevents unnecessary daily re-enrichment of the same records • Ensures you're only refreshing stale data that actually needs updating • Maintains current data without wasting credits on unchanged information This approach means your daily enrichments will only target records that haven't been refreshed within your chosen timeframe, giving you fresh data efficiently.
