Hi there Clay support team 🙂 I had an external firm share a template with me they had made for my company. I cannot seem to copy the template into my account... Any help here? I have attached the screen shot of what I see. I also cannot open the tabs in the link shared. Many thanks ⭐
When copying a shared template, click the template link and you'll be directed to your workspace if you're already logged in. If you can't access the template or tabs aren't opening, try: ** Ensuring you're logged into your Clay account ** Opening the link in a new browser tab * Clearing your browser cache Templates are ready-to-use starting points - simply copy the template, input your data, and run it instantly. If you continue having issues accessing the shared template, please request human assistance by clicking "Talk to a person" for further troubleshooting.
Hi Lindsay - thanks so much for reaching out! Did that fix^ work for you or are you still having challenges?
Unfortunately still not working 😞 Any other ideas?
Hi Lindsay - sorry for this, this is a bug that our engineering team is aware of and is hoping to fix. I've flagged your case for the team as well. We'll reach out here once we have more updates.
OK - Thanks 🙂
Hi Lindsay - just wanted to give you an update here. The reason why you were seeing an issue is because Clay doesn't allow sharing templates with more than 10 tables, and the template that was being shared had 10+ tables. If you try again with less tables and still see an issue, please let us know!
Thanks - I will give this a go and see if it works 🙂
Hi there- I am following up on this ticket. I was in touch with the agency I was working with to resolve this. They had reformatted the sheet and I am stll running into the issue of not being able to open the workbooks, or copy a template to my workspace. Here are the new links to the shared templates in question:
Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
Hey Lindsay Doyle If you're still having issues copying the templates, try these quick steps: 1. Open the links in incognito mode 2. Make sure you’re logged into the right Clay account 3. Use the three dots (top right) on the shared template to duplicate If it still doesn’t work lmk what error you’re seeing!
Hi! Just an FYI - I got it to work on an incognito mode tab 🙂
So we can close this ticket
Thanks!
Hi Lindsay - thanks for the feedback. I'll add that this method worked as context for the engineering team, but they are working on fix that would allow you to do this without incognito mode. Closing this out for now!
Hi Lindsay - thanks so much for your patience as we worked through this and happy that you found a workaround. The engineering team made some improvements on this and now this seems to be working as expected, and I tried duplicating the workbook just now, which seemed to have worked. I'll close this ticket out now, but feel free to reach out if you have any other issues on this.
