Where does the “Find Companies” search function source leads? Does clay now have it’s own first party database, or is it using an API from another data source for this?
Our "Find Companies" search function uses a combination of data sources. We don't rely on a single API or database. Instead, we combine data from various providers and apply our own data cleaning methods and best practices. This approach allows us to offer a proprietary dataset for targeted company searches. Some of the data providers we use include Google, Harmonic.ai, and HitHorizons, among others. This diverse sourcing helps us provide comprehensive and accurate company information for our users.
Hi Matt, thank you for reaching out. The find companies search comes from third-party providers who use both the company domains as well as the company's LinkedIn to source the companies you are looking for. Clay does not store any information itself, it instead relies on third party apps for its information.
