Database Used by Clay for Company Employee Information and Data Quality

Hey there! :) Could you tell me what database Clay uses to find people who work in a company? I am considering whether should I use the integration with Apollo or stay with the built function. Little bit worried about the quality though. How fresh the data is? :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey there Kacper thanks for reaching out, while we can't disclose which database we use due to the due to our providers requesting this in their agreement, the data that is given to us from multiple data providers that provide company/people data. However due to some limitations in pulling in the data, people data results may appear more in Sales Nav or Apollo rather than with Clay, primarily because we don't use your live login session to get company/contact data and profiles that are restricted or set to private may be missed.

Thanks for the answer! 🙂 I have another question, could I prioritize some key words in this function? For example, i set the limit of 7 people from the company and first I would like to check keyword - “Human resources”, and if there is still space for more people another keyword like “COO”

Hey Kacper, thanks for the follow up, jumping in here for LuisArturo! The team is scoping out the option to add prioritization to these searches, hopefully, very soon! The way people have set this up to work at this time is by using the column Find Contacts integrations instead, conditionally running them as "waterfall", where if the first column searching for Human Resources doesn't find a profile, then it queues up the next column trying to find COO, and so on.
