Issue with Update People Column Not Appearing in Clay Tables

I don't fully understand some parts of Clay. For instance, I have a table B with my qualified companies for a campaign. I "Find people at these companies" and import those people into table C. This happens successfully. Now usually, I expect there to be an "Update People" column that's automatically created in Table B. However, no such column exists. Why? This column matters to me because I want to "Enable Automatic People Search Updates" on that column so that any time i add a new company to table B, I can find target people and push them into table C. The "Update People" column isn't automatically created when importing people from one table to another. To enable automatic updates for new companies, you can use the "write to other table" feature. Here's how to set it up: 1. In Table B, add a new column using "Add Column" > "Add Enrichment" > "write to table". 2. Configure this column to write to Table C. 3. Enable the "Auto-update" feature in Table B's settings to automatically run all columns when new rows are added. If you're still having issues, try these troubleshooting steps: 1. Delete the affected column 2. Create a fresh column 3. Re-map your data to the write-to-other table 4. Ensure auto-dedup is activated in Table C This setup should automatically update Table C when new companies are added to Table B.

^ This is hilarious because the reason why I have a Table B (instead of a Table A) is because I followed this exact advice to "Write to table" from Table A to Table B.

Hi Adil, thanks for getting in touch. When you created the import to people table (C), did you do that when starting from the company table (B). As in, clicking Actions > Fine People at these companies? Or did you create that from table the people table (C). For example, clicking Actions > Import... > Find people, and setting up the search to use the companies table?

I just tried to replicate this inside your table. I went in, created a fine company's table, and checked if it was working - it was. I also tried with your table to find people's search and that was working too. You can see both steps there.
Everything seems to be working correctly. If you were able to replicate the search, that would probably fix it. Can you let me know?

Yes, I validated it. Is it that there's something wrong with table c because of which the "find people" column doesn't show up on table b. One detail about it is that table c existed before I added any rows to it from table b

Hi Adil, thanks for this. I see the same thing. I've asked our engineers for more detail on this. I think it's more of an academic question, since there are no errors or anything happening. I suspect that it's just a difference in when the actions were created. E.g. legacy features vs. newer features. I'll let you know if I get any more insight. Please let me know if you're blocked.
