I got the following error when running people enrichment via Apollo: Unexpected token T in JSON at position 0 The inputs are in the screenshot. What should I do to prevent this error?
Hi, thanks for getting in touch! I recommend you to retry connecting your API key, its worth mentioning that you can do this inside Clay without expending any Apollo or clay credits, just enter all the company domains and job titles in a people table and run a basic enrichment (0 credits)
Okay retrying API key shortly
And hmm I wasn't aware of being able to run a basic enrichment
I recommend doing always the basic enrichment when launching a table, you can always spend more credits in the future by enriching more
By basic enrichment, do you mean via clicking "Find People"?
By the way, I retried 10 records using a new Apollo API key and it worked but I ran into a few new problems:
1. For the first 10 records, it's displaying that 3 people were found. However, only 1 person's data is included in the table for each of the 10 companies. Why is that?
2. All the emails in the āEmail - People - Results
āĀ column are::Ā [emailĀ_notĀ_unlocked@domain.com](mailto::email_not_unlocked@domain.com)
Why is the actual email address not being displayed?
Any chance you can help me resolve these issues?>
Still checking this, sorry
I think you should save the contact in Apollo and then run the enrichment again in Clay
if you click in the cell you will see the detailed breakdown of all the people found, from that you can export those names into another column
Re:Ā I think you should save the contact in Apollo and then run the enrichment again in ClayHow do I do this from Clay?
Re:Ā if you click in the cell you will see the detailed breakdown of all the people found, from that you can export those names into another columnDo I have to do this manually for every single org?
Actually, what I'd like to do is have each person found for an org represented in distinct rows - ie each row should be a unique combo of org-person, and if there are 3 persons found for an org, I'd like to 3 rows. How can I do this?
Hey Rayhnuma A.! Happy to jump in here for Juan!
To display each person in their own rows, you can use our Write to table integration to extract a list of results into their own rows in a new table, here's a quick video: https://www.loom.com/share/841cc9c009194f1688bbd134b3e4f388
And about Apollo not showing the emails with that integration: This is due to the fact that Apollo fixed a bug in their API that had been there for months and why it now says "Ā[emailĀ_notĀ_unlocked@domain.com](mailto:email_not_unlocked@domain.com)".Apolloās API was designed so that when you search for people, a personās email address wasnāt added to the responseĀ unlessĀ you had used apollo credits and saved them as a contact to your apollo account.Their API had a bug in it for months, that allowed email addresses to be shown anyway, which they have since patched. In order to fix this, what Clay is going to do is combine people and contacts in apollo in our find people search, so that after you save a contact, youāll be able to get the email address by re-running the search action in Clay. However, unfortunately, thereās nothing we can do from the Clay side to retrieve the email without you saving the contact or using the Enrich Person (Apollo) integration moving forward.
Sorry for the long text but context may help understand why this happened. Let me know if you have additional questions!
