Hi Team, i need help investigating a credit usage. It's about a job change table, will put details into this thread.
This table seems to have consumed 2.100 credits: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/432301/workbooks/wb_0szlfo0824w4JpmvXhk/tables/t_0t09n4tVD8aNoYFP57c/views/gv_0t09n4toEU8BmrCvrQ5 Can you break down how? Because my calculation is much lower:
Job Changes
we got 217 job changes: 217 * 0.2 credits = 43 credits on job change 2. Company Enrichment 165 x Company Enrichment = 165 Credits So i would have assumed it's only ~200 credits.
Hey Stephan! from your math, 217 job changes + 165 company enrichments should be around 208–210 credits, you're right. But if it’s showing 2,100 credits, here are a few things to double check Was the table re-running multiple times or had any automation on? Any other enrichments running in the background (like contact info, LinkedIn, etc)? Maybe there are hidden steps or other tables/views also pulling data?
Abdul Sa. (Clay Expert) Thanks, I checked and nothing running x-times. Got the same issue with another job-change table. My assumption is that the credit calculation of the job change monitor is broken. From the support and help pages I got 0.2 credits per job change found (i.e. per row entry). Maybe that's wrong?
Yeah, if nothing’s running multiple times and you're still seeing unusually high credit usage, then it’s possible the Job change monitor is calculating credits differently than expected. you're right the docs say 0.2 credits per job change found, not scanned so if you're getting charged significantly more, it could be misfiring or counting in a way that doesn’t match the documentation
There's conflicting information in our documentation about job change signal pricing. One source states "This Signal costs 5 credits per result" while another states "This Signal costs 0.2 credits per check." The general Signals documentation mentions "Most Signals cost 1 credit for every 5 records checked." Given the significant discrepancy between your expected ~200 credits and actual 2,100 credits usage, this appears to be a pricing calculation issue that needs human review. You can track detailed credit usage breakdowns in the credit usage dashboard, which shows consumption by table, integration, and time period. For this specific billing discrepancy, please request human assistance by clicking on "Talk to a person" so our team can investigate your table's credit calculation directly.
Yes, I need a human to clarify the conflicting information. I also checked this in Slack Channel in the past, and you gave me explicit feedback that a result counts only if a job change happened. See screenshot attached. Is that a bug? What is true now?
Could you pls support, investigate the problem with the credit charges and refund the 15k credits?
Hi Maluck, Thanks for reaching out to support. Would you be able to send over your table URl, I would love to take a closer look at what actions you ran and take a deeper dive into your credit spend.
Nicole Goot Yes, i had 3 job change tables set tup, here are the 2 largest: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/432301/tables/t_0szlkiyugrzZc78KN6f https://app.clay.com/workspaces/432301/workbooks/wb_0szlfo0824w4JpmvXhk/tables/t_0t09n4tVD8aNoYFP57c/views/gv_0t09n4toEU8BmrCvrQ5
Hi Maluck, I took a look at your tables and your credit consumption tables and your credit spend on these tables is adding up. So far this table has cost you 1846.8 credits overall.
That's what I just saw and why i made this ticket
And its not 1.800 credits, you have to set the date also 3-4 weeks back
Strategy table is 7.443 credits
