Dear all, I am trying to use the google maps search template for 1000 companies with, on average, 500 location. Can someone help me predict the cost? Can I automate the 1000 searches -- so far I only figured out how to do it for one company but I would need to manually execute it on 1000? Or is there are feature where it loops through? At the end I would love to have a panel data set.
Here's what you need to know about using Google Maps searches in Clay: 1. Regarding costs: • The Preferred Google API costs 1 credit per result. • Each search is limited to a maximum of 200 results (minus duplicates). 2. For automation and data collection: • You can set up a single search with specific parameters including: • Location • Search query • Number of results (up to 200 per search) 3. Important limitations: • Google Maps caps results at 1,000 businesses per search • The integration may take time to load all results - what starts as a few dozen listings could grow to hundreds as data populates Given these limitations, you would need to break down your searches into smaller, targeted segments to collect data for all 1,000 companies with their locations. Consider segmenting your searches by geographic areas or other specific criteria to work within these constraints.
