can i save a formula as a template?
Yes, you can save formulas as part of a template in Clay, but not individually. Here are two ways to do this: 1. Column group templates: You can save multiple columns, including formula columns, as a template. Select the columns, right-click, and choose "Save as template". 2. Share table as template: This option allows you to share your entire table structure, including formulas, as a template. Go to "Actions" and select "Share as template". Both methods let you reuse your formulas across tables. If you need more assistance, you can request human help by clicking on "Talk to a person".
i dont see the "save as template" option when i select the column
The "Save as template" option is available for column groups, not individual columns. Here's how to save columns as a template:
1. Select multiple columns by holding ⌘
(Mac) or ctrl
(Windows) while clicking their titles.
2. Right-click on one of the selected column titles.
3. Choose "Save as template" from the menu.
If you want to save an entire table structure as a template:
1. Click the "Actions" button in your table.
2. Select "Share as template".
3. Click "Turn on sharing".
This will create a public link to share your table structure.
If you need further assistance, you can request human help by clicking on "Talk to a person".
i dont the the "save as template" option, even if i click on multiple columns
Hey, That’s not possible at the moment. However, you can group multiple columns — just click the first, hold Shift, click the last, then right-click to create a column group. If you can share more about your use case and how saving a formula as a template would help, I’d be happy to pass it along to the product team.
