Hey there. I have a side project that I'm looking to start and I want some general guidance on how to set up my tables based on my needs. Is that something I can ask here?
Hi Amanda R., sure! This getting started video is the best way to begin building out your tables in clay but happy to help you with other questions you may have, too!
Anjali D. im looking to build probably two tables but i want them to work together. without too much detail i want one table to find all of a certain type of business and then the appropriate contact email for each one. then i want another table to find all of a certain type of freelance worker and their contact email. i feel like i've seen something about sending emails from clay as well and ideally, i could have it email each business on a monthly basis and then automatically email the freelancer type based on location when one of the business replies. does that make sense?
Hi Amanda R. -- you can do almost all of this in Clay! First, you can start off by building a companies table! The beginning of the video I shared above should help you with that: https://www.clay.com/learn/getting-started-with-clayYou can then find people at these companies. Here's a helpful video for that: https://www.clay.com/learn/find-multiple-people-at-a-company-with-clayTo create a table with freelancers, you can create a new table using the 'Find People' search (you will see this option in the pop up panel when you go to create a new table).
You can do all the steps up until actually sending out the email! Give me a few minutes to send you some resources here, but we have great providers to help you with finding emails as well as AI integrations for the drafting of your emails!
If you use another email sequencing tool that is able to send out emails incrementally, you can integrate the software onto Clay! I can look into this more for you but let me know if you currently use any email sequencing tools:)
Thank you so much!
I do use Hubspot but I use it for my main job and this would be it's own thing. There's a chance my boss may let me use it though so we could just assume that for now.
great! it’s very easy to integrate your CRM account onto clay and manage your contacts/update them through the platform
Here’s a video on finding emails once you’ve found a list of people: https://www.clay.com/learn/find-work-emails-from-linkedin Here’s a helpful resource for using AI to draft emails: https://www.clay.com/learn/ai-gpt-3-to-automate-personalized-cold-emails
I know this is a lot of resources, but as I said above I would start with first building a list of companies, then a list of people, then find emails for these people, and then use AI to personalize the email drafts (before using AI you will probably want to run other enrichments to find more information on the individuals for the AI to embed into its prompt — but there are several resources online and you’re welcome to reach out to us through this community too)
