can I get the tech stack used filter in the find companies search in Clay ?
Yes, you can use the tech stack filter in Clay's Find Companies search. Here's how: 1. In your workbook, click "+ Add" at the bottom or use "Actions" > "Import" for existing tables. 2. Search for and select the HG Insights "Build company lists based on their tech stack" source. 3. In the "Products" field, enter the technologies you want to search for. 4. Use additional filters like Vendor Domains, Product Categories, or Attributes to refine your search. This feature allows you to discover companies using specific technologies or combinations of tools.
can I do it before importing existing tables? on the main search area?
Yes, you can use the tech stack filter in the main search area before importing existing tables in Clay. When you're in the Find Companies modal, you can define your search filters, including tech stack. To do this: 1. Go to your workbook and click "+ Add" at the bottom to open the Find Companies modal. 2. In the search filters, look for the tech stack option. 3. Set your desired tech stack criteria along with other filters like industry, headcount, or location. 4. Preview your list to ensure it meets your requirements. Remember, you can always refine your search before importing. If you need more specific tech stack data, you might need to use additional enrichment sources after importing your initial list.
there is no tech stack option
Hey Garo! Sorry for the confusion. Happy to help✨. The company search source does not include a filter for "tech stack". It's currently not available as a filter for the "find companies" source. The team has brought this up, but it is still being scoped out. In the meantime, the workaround would be to import the company search results and run the tech stack enrichment to identify companies using a specific tool. You can also use the Ocean.io lookalike source to run a search based on a domain (that matches your criteria) to identify similar companies. This source allows you to add a technology filter. If you can share a bit more info about your use-case, we're happy to follow up with tailored suggestions.
thanks a lot, Daniela D. I am looking for Law practice companies that use Lawmatics.com as a tech stack and have 50 to 200 employees.
If the use of Lawmatics is an essential part of the search, I'd recommend looking into using HG Insights as an import source. Have you tried it yet? You can define a search in much the same way:
You can also use e.g. NAICS or SIC codes to filter by industries. It's a bit more expensive than other resources, because it is more comprehensive and precise on technologies that businesses are using. More here: https://www.clay.com/university/guide/hg-insights-integration-overview
Hey Garo! Happy to help✨. I made a quick recording showing where to find this. Let us know if you have any questions!

can I add a table for exclusion ?
instead of domains one by one ?
Hey Garo! Thanks for the reply. Happy to help. This integration does not include an option to select tables, but you can paste a comma separated list of multiple domains to exclude. Let me know if you run into any issues!
ah ok so if I add on a google sheet a comma can i add those domains at mass Daniela D. ?
