Troubleshooting Airtable Upsert Integration Issues: Need Assistance

·
·

Hi, I’m running into an issue with the Airtable upsert integration and I really can’t figure out what is going on. I’ve been run it in this workbook for more than 100 entries without any issues but in the last batch of entries I’ve added there are some for which it simply doesn’t run (no error message, just stays blank). I’ve tried setting it up again from scratch, using create record instead etc but always have the same issue for the same rows and can’t find anything wrong with them... It would be great if someone could help me look into this issue 🙏

The issue with the upsert function not working correctly is due to it attempting to use stale data. I’ve included a video that shows how, once the three AI action columns are run, the upsert function should work as expected. To identify stale data, simply double-click on the rows that aren’t running, and a menu will appear that provides more details. Here’s an example of identifying stale or outdated data: Stale Data Example Hope this helps! Let me know how else I can assist! 😊 https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1125019413/c53037e58cb9aac03f8bc3c7/CleanShot+2024-07-25+at+_41oGsvnf1J%402x.png?expires=1729612800&signature=6944d7bca186c5d8c0b29ad0c7c5e75fe28ca0c2f3744cd4d3cee82308163ffb&req=dSElE8l%2FlIVeWvMW1HO4zQWamz17pRkLJXU7dljde4NFsQ%3D%3D%0A

Thanks Owen C., very helpful! I have a follow up questions regarding errors - a bit more general though: Is there a way to get notified whenever there’s an error in an active workbook (e.g., a cell that hasn’t run because rate limit has been reached or other reasons) or - even better - o have them automatically try to rerun after a certain time? I’m using this workbook to run enrichments in the back end and ideally would prefer not having to go into the table regularly to check if there are errors that need to be fixed but rather get notified

Hello Aida! Unfortunately, we don't offer the option to get a notification for error or scheduling re-runs in case of errors. I understand and apologize for the inconvenience here, I will pass this as feedback along to the product team.

Got it! it would be great to have something like this as we are considering integrating Clay into our back end but we would need to have a way to errors are handled without manually going through the tables In the meantime I’ll see if I can figure out a way to have a way to add a field that flags any errors in the flow

Totally agree. The best I can think of is ether duplicating the bottleneck enrichments, running the second column if the first one does not run and merging the results of both columns. You can then used the merged column for future inputs.
